You're right--"big and small" are the probably the wrong words. I was just so struck by this printmaker's hesitation and fear...it was one of those great moments where you had to question why it is that you do "this thing..." What's to say that its not just an added dimension to your work and range. If a gallery or a publishing deal is a means to creating profit or veiwership, then the internet is just another level of reaching public. Using the internet to share your work is another artform in itself, as is the actual creation of the business plan. If your output aligns with what your goals are in your art, then its not about thinking big, small, right or wrong. I hope we will always have life-size prints, but I love the abundance of the online art world at my fingertips. About the “creating work for the web” paragraph.
