Wow, what an unbelievable load of horseshit! I had no idea an article about copping-out could be so long and truly horrendous. Shitty Job Austin.

Thought clearly, wrote plainly.
Well done.

… Thank you for this. Seriously.
Ever since I refused art school and then dropped out of regular college to follow my own heart and desires, I’ve been miserable. I felt like I failed. I felt like the world looked down upon me. I felt like no one cared. I love art, and I love to do it, but I was just in a rut. I will be saving this to reflect upon. I really appreciate it. :)

I think I love you!
Pracical & straightforward advice, not new but in black & white rather refreshing, as an Art & Design graduate I saw this alot, it actually infuriated me at the time, but who is original? We all have our frame of reference, nothing is original because we all exist and have a history, pesent and hopefully a future!

Wow! This is just what I wanted to hear. After completing a multimedia and graphic design course, I was starting to feel like an uninspired mediocrity but now I realise I’m in good company!

Love this. It does a nice job validating what I’ve been calling my sewing for the last couple years…”faking it.” I like being reminded that we are a sum of our influencers, and that we choose to make things work out, if we want them to.
Thanks for the chin up.
Ivy, Denver CO says
Thank you for this! Make it a book. People need this.
If you are ever in Denver, I’d like to take you to an exceptionally creative place here. It’s a space of artist’s studios totally open to the public where you get to see the lives, emotion, process, the stealing, the inspiration and the hard, hard work. The voyeurism makes it shockingly intimate.
Kirsty says
That was truly wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to inspire others :)

Well, this was refreshing to read. This whole thing made me feel new. I’m doing most of these, but I guess I had different thoughts about art in my mind. So this helped me to see the truth. Thank you very much.

I’m a teacher and mother. I’ve been sharing my secrets most of my life. My secrets, well I stole them from my mother, my friends, my colleagues, and people I don’t even know. I call it team work. It is the human experience made richer.
